Most children with disabilities or children with special needs live with their parents and attend normal nurseries, schools and leisure activities. But some go to special nurseries and schools where children are trained and taught by specially trained personnel. Young people and adults have access to remedial instruction, day and 24-hour centres, drop-in centres, sheltered workplaces and workshops. Some live in own accommodation and receive personal and practical help from the state. This may be a wheelchair or another auxiliary aid or a personal helper. Others live in a special institution or shared or sheltered accommodation where they receive the help they need.
