On the weekends of 6.-7. & 13.-14. December, families and other curious people can experience a bit of the cultural history of Christmas as it used to be at the time of Hans Christian Andersen. A must for newcomers to Copenhagen is the Christmas Bazaar at Christiania, yes the place famous for hippie living and hash. Despite the reputation, you should venture into the area and visit Den Grå Hal - The Grey Shed, to find lots of unique and untraditional Christmas gifts, products and foods.



While you're there check out the Womens blacksmiths near by for metal decorations for your Christmas tree.

Free Fun in CPH this week - Ice Disco

Come and join the fun, this Saturday 6. Dec. from 3-10 pm, when Copenhagen Roller Disco turns Kongens Nytorv into an Ice Disco.



Loudspeakers will be placed around the ice ring, and the music will be delivered by 8 dj’s, amongst others Tom Collins, Nico de Frost, Klaus Boss, 2000F, Inspekta Scratch and iceskate master Jkamata.

When is the next expat event? My husband and I are taking a scouting trip to Copenhagen in February to look for jobs and a place to live. Our goal is to relocate to DK in April. Would love to meet some of you at the next event.
