I dont even know where to start looking for a lawyer.

Mona,
I was in this situation exactly, except the bully was a big real estate chain in Denmark.
We also wrote to the Housing Board. They wrote a "we recommend you do this" letter to the bully. Nothing came out of it.

Hi,My name is Mona and we have been living in Aalborg for the past 4.5 years.Last year, we were renting a house in Hasseris and we had payed a huge deposit amount for it.The owner of the house, a lady from Belgium (I think), ran into financial trouble and told us that she no longer wishes to extend the rental contract because she must sell the house to the bank.Obviously, we agreed and moved to another house.However, the owner now refuses to return the deposit amount.We reported the matter to…See More
